Sara Elggren

B. 1986. Weaver in Crafts/Fine Arts. Based in Stockholm. MFA from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design, specialised in weaving, often working with subjects of the body, communication, visible and invisible. Deepened studies include Ikat weaving with Keiko Yoshida and Honda Minori in Kyoto Japan (2013-2014), traditional Californian tapestry with Tricia Goldberg in Berkeley US (2016), Damask Weave with Gunnel Mårtensson, Dahlåkra Sweden (2018), Nihonga traditions with Saitou Kazu Kyoto Japan (2018). Recent exhibitions at _Konsthall Årsta (2020), Stockholm Design Week/ WIP:Sthlm (2020), Hammarkullen Konsthall (2019), Stockholm Craft Week /Hangmen Projects (2019)
