Pam McDougall

The piece submitted is part of a series of message strips and represents Pictish Ogham communication which was carved in stone in the Orkney Islands. The rough translation is 'A blessing on your soul'. I love the challenge of designing for the loom and draw inspiration from my interest in our Australian bushland, colours and textures. Double cloth weaving and collapse techniques have occupied me for some time.
