Elizabet Christiansson

Elizabet Christianssons latest works is about the process of weaving and how the hand and the brain works together to create. Her weavings is abstract 2 or 3 dimensional pictures of landscapes or mindscapes. The pieces are wowen with several shafts where different technics becomes the meeting-place for material, patterns, shape and texture.
Elizabets work also concerns the environment and most of all the state of the oceans. She is inspired and terrified by the waste of plastics and other garbage that float around in all of our world oceans. She think it is interesting to combine natural and unnatural materials in her work and to use traditional technics in free ways.
